REVIEW Essie Tart Deco

I'm going to start by saying this will be a fairly gushy post - this is officially my favourite nail polish EVER!

I have already mentioned this in my June Favourites post but feel that it deserves a whole post to itself, I love it that much - every time I put something different on my nails I am disappointed because it is never as nice!

I have a bottle of this from the Essie diffusion line and I got it in Boots when it was on offer.  I much prefer the diffusion line brush to the little thin one that comes in the original bottles.  I find it really easy to use - just 2 swipes and it's done.

When I apply this polish, the first coat goes on really patchy and streaky but the second coat always covers this and leaves a smooth, opaque, shiny finish.  On me, it lasts longer than any other nail polish brand I have tried - at least 2 days, usually 3.

The colour is so bright and vibrant and goes perfectly with a tan.

I have recently been into wearing corally, orangey coloured clothes too and this goes perfectly.  The only problem I have with it is that it has stained my nails a bit but I just cover it up with more!

No surprises here!

  5. I have this one. I love the colour but I think the wear is pretty bad and it starts to chip really quickly. Weirdly I also found that this one 'melts' on a hot day.

    1. Yeah, the colour on mine rubbed a little on holiday - noticed some strange marks on my book then realised what it was! But for me, this is the longest lasting, least chipping nail polish I've ever had! Random!
